Trigger Compression Latches
Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products manufactures compression latches to fit a range of industrial OEM applications. A compression latch holds a door, panel or cover shut, and at the same time compresses a gasket around the inside of the door to seal out moisture, dirt and dust. For electronic enclosures, the degree of compression required is specified by its NEMA or IP rating.

SPEP Trigger Compression Latches
Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products makes the highest quality industrial hardware for OEM manufacturers. We carry both raised and flush style trigger latches for use on buses, RVs, trucks/trailers, and electronic and HVAC enclosures. A great feature of these latches is that they mount relatively flush to the surface of the enclosure to keep a slim profile.
Trigger latches are simple by design and function. When the trigger of the lever latch is pushed, the pawl that engages the door frame or keeper drops down, allowing the door to be opened. At the same time, the lever moves upward, where it can be grasped as a handle to pull open the door.
At Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products we have designed our trigger latches with a full range of options to best fit your application. We offer lever latches with a raised trigger button, for easier operation, or flush, for a more streamlined application.
Our trigger lever latches come in a two basic sizes: short arm, for grips between .04 inches to 0.95 inches and long arm, for grips from 0.91 inches to 1.81 inches.
They can be bought with mounting kits for either metal or wood. We make them in three finishes: matte black, polished chrome or textured chrome, to blend with your product's design.
Each of our trigger latches can be purchased with or without an integrated lock. The locks can be made so that all of the triggers have the same key or one of 10 different key codes.
