Panel Compression Latches
Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products manufactures compression latches to fit a range of industrial OEM applications. A compression latch holds a door, panel or cover shut, and at the same time compresses a gasket around the inside of the door to seal out moisture, dirt and dust. For electronic enclosures, the degree of compression required is specified by its NEMA or IP rating.

SPEP Panel Compression Latches
Panel latches, also know as spring latches and compression spring latches, are simple and effective latches usually used for thin doors and panels. This makes them perfect for use on access doors as well as electronic enclosures. There is a range of grip distances available from .05" to .56" in order to fit your product most effectively. The biggest difference among the large selection of panel latches we have is the head style. The head is the portion of the latch that is exposed to the user and decides on how you want the enclosure to be accessed. If the door is to be accessed by hand a plastic knob and metal knurled knob are available. If it is more desirable for a tool to be used in order to increase security our slotted head, hex bolt, recessed hex, and recessed torx head are available. The bases to the spring latches can be mounted by using standard fasteners or by welding which we have included weld guides on to the bases. These weld guides provide an aid for the welder for location and to help produce more effective retention.
At SPEP we take great pride in the quality of all of our products; quality and service taken personally.
