Lift and Turn Compression Latches
Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products manufactures compression latches to fit a range of industrial OEM applications. A compression latch holds a door, panel or cover shut, and at the same time compresses a gasket around the inside of the door to seal out moisture, dirt and dust. For electronic enclosures, the degree of compression required is specified by its NEMA or IP rating.

SPEP Lift and Turn Compression Latches
Part compression latch and part door handle lift and turn latches have far reaching utility. They are seen across nearly every industry application including HVAC, construction equipment, heavy machinery, electronic enclosures, trucks, trailers, marine applications and more. Their function is simple and intuitive, but highly effective in maintaining an air-tight to protect against thermal leakage. The pawl keeps a tight, rattle-resistant grip when closed, but the latch shaft extends when the handle is lifted to loosen the seal and open with ease.
Sierra Pacific Engineering & Products produces these parts in many materials and finishes, such as long-lasting black powder coated or chrome plated die cast zinc, and both type 304 and 316 passivated stainless steel. The curved exterior handle version has an ergonomic feel and comes in several sizes to accommodate both light and heavy duty requirements. The flush mounted style leaves minimal protrusion from the panel surface when closed, but pops out when unlocked to provide the same functionality, while sometimes housing a lock core for increased security.
Adjustable installation of different offset cams creates flexibility and allows for varying grips and degrees of compression. Even if you do not see the stock item you need, we are custom hardware experts and can produce a part tailored to your exact specifications.
