Swing Handles Latches
Swing handle latches are a popular alternative to classic access hardware. Also referred to as swing handle locks, swing handle cam latches, and quarter-turn latches, these latching systems offer enhanced security in a more modern and unique style. The low-profile design of a swing handle latch produces minimal protrusion and pops out for smooth and easy latch actuation.
Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products (SPEP) carries a diverse selection of swing handle latches. Made from only the highest-quality and reliable materials, our swing handle latching solutions can be used to keep a variety of enclosures locked. Swing Handle Latches Explained
A swing handle latch is a mechanical device designed to open and close enclosures and other containment solutions, such as cabinets, doors, toolboxes, and access control panels.
A swing handle latch works using an internal cam to latch and unlatch. To open an enclosure with this locking option, the user must lift and turn the handle to pull the cam away from the object. To latch and lock, the user must push the handle back into place.
Swing handles can work with different locking systems, including key locks systems, padlocks, electromechanical mechanisms, and multipoint latches. Furthermore, swing handle systems can be divided into flat and round rod systems. Round rod systems are mounted inside the sealed area, while flat rod systems can be placed outside.
