Hinge Pins

When it comes to security applications, such as exterior doors and gates, the hinge pin is crucial. In many scenarios, especially with exterior-facing doors, the hinge pins are on the outside. If these pins are easily removable, it creates a security risk. An intruder could remove the hinge pin and dislodge the door from the frame.

To combat that risk, SPEP offers security hinge pins with non-removable pins. When the door is closed, an interlocking mechanism prevents the pin from being tapped out. This provides an extra layer of protection against thieves.

Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products currently offers 12 different hinge pins, six made from brass and six from stainless steel. All are 72” long and vary in diameter to accommodate varying hinge sizes.
