Compression latches come in many sizes and styles, but most require very specifically punched cut-outs in the panel for installation. Round compression latches simplify the design process by fitting into a circular hole.  These can be easily cut or drilled into any material. Sierra Pacific Engineering & Products has multiple versions of these latches available in different materials, Chrome plated die cast zinc, UV resistant plastic and 304 stainless steel.  There are compression and non-compression versions.   These parts have a threaded body to fit on nearly any panel and come in non-locking, key-locking, and “dummy latch” alternatives.  All are water resistant.  The threaded shafts allow for an adjustable cam grip range and the mounting brackets allow for a wide array of panel thicknesses.
